Shipping policy
Article 1 — General provisions
These shipping terms apply to all orders placed on getrootspirit.com. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Article 2 — Order processing
We process orders within 1 to 2 business days (Monday–Friday). This window also gives you a small buffer of 6 hours to contact us and modify or cancel your order. Processing time does not include weekends, US federal holidays, or extreme weather closures at our fulfillment center.
Article 3 — Delivery times
Domestic United States (50 states + DC):
- Standard shipping: 3 to 6 business days
- Expedited shipping (where available): 2 to 3 business days
- Hawaii, Alaska, and US territories: 5 to 9 business days
International:
- Canada: 5 to 9 business days
- Europe (UK, EU, Switzerland, Norway): 7 to 12 business days
- Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore: 8 to 14 business days
- Rest of world: 10 to 20 business days
These timeframes are estimates only and do not include weekends, US federal holidays, customs inspections, or carrier delays caused by weather, strikes, or unforeseen events. Products containing batteries or air-pressure components may be subject to additional carrier handling that could slightly extend transit times.
Article 4 — Free shipping
Free standard shipping on all domestic US orders over $50. Free international shipping on orders over $100, available to the following countries: Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Ireland, Austria, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Japan.
For orders below these thresholds, shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and selected carrier.
Article 5 — Liability for delays
Once a package has been handed to the carrier, Root Spirit no longer has physical control over the delivery process and cannot be held responsible for delays, misroutes, or incidents caused by the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or local last-mile partners).
We strongly recommend providing complete delivery instructions at checkout, including apartment/unit numbers, gate codes, and any specific landmarks that help the carrier complete delivery successfully.
Article 6 — Customs, duties, and taxes (international orders)
Orders shipped outside the United States may be subject to import duties, customs fees, and local sales tax (VAT/GST) — these are the customer's responsibility and are not included in the order total or shipping cost.
We declare the actual value of all shipments and cannot mark packages as "gift" or undervalue them. If a package is refused at customs or returned due to unpaid duties, the refund will be issued minus the original outbound shipping cost.
Article 7 — Order tracking
A tracking number is sent by email as soon as your order ships. Track your order anytime on the tracking page or directly through the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL).
Article 8 — Address errors
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address at checkout. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, refused delivery, or unclaimed pickup, you'll be responsible for the cost of reshipping the order. Returned-to-sender packages are not eligible for a full refund — only the product cost (not original shipping) will be refunded.
To correct a shipping address, email us at contact@getrootspirit.com within 1 hour of placing the order — after that, the package is likely already in carrier handoff and the address cannot be modified.
Article 9 — Lost or stolen packages
If your tracking shows delivered but you haven't received the package, see our Refund Policy (Section 8). Root Spirit will provide all available proof-of-delivery information, but we cannot be held responsible for packages stolen after carrier confirmation of delivery.
We recommend opting in to Route Package Protection (offered at checkout for $1–2) for high-theft delivery areas — this provides full coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
Article 10 — Changes to this policy
Root Spirit reserves the right to update these shipping terms at any time. The version posted on our website at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order.
